My Thoughts About One Cup at a Time: A Cat’s Café Collection:
This is Matt Tarpley’s second book and I loved it as much as I loved the first one. I adore this book, his art, and his characters so much.
This book has been focused upon mental health and life affirmations, along with lots of cuteness, adorableness and softness. In this book, all the characters are going through something and they are finding ways to cope. I love that how everyone wants to help each other. All the characters are such nice friends to one another and are very supportive. They would do anything for each other. They are always there for one another, helping each other and cheering each other up. I really loved all their friendships, it was so wholesome and heart-warming.
This collection is more heart-warming than funny. But there were times when I laughed and I like the author’s sense of humor. This book is basically filled with positivity and tells us to be kind to one another. It was also quite relatable and uplifting.
I love all the characters so much, but especially Kiwi! He is my favorite. But I also love the others very much as well. Everyone is so adorable and unique with their own quirks and characteristics. And Geese! Oh my god, Geese is my favorite as well. I wish there were more Geese scenes!! All the characters are so adorable and cute. Hyena has a duck soft toy, how precious! I seriously cannot express how soft and precious all the characters are.
In conclusion, I will say that this book feels like a warm hug. It is a perfect book to read when you are feeling low. This is the perfect book to read when you are safely tucked inside your favorite cozy blanket. I cannot recommend this book enough!
My Rating: 5 out of 5 stars
